Little Card Big Wishes Week - Day 1

May 7, 2024

Hey there!  It's Caryn here with a fruity little number featuring the Little Card, Big Wishes stamp set.  I've Peared (fruity pun intended) it with the big juicy peach image from the Fruit Greetings and Tags stamp set - all from the brand new Summer release.

I started with a white A2 card base and used the stitched rounded rectangle dies to create a mat from a peach coloured cardstock.  I stencilled a pattern in a darker shade of ink using the Scalloped Stripes stencil and stamped, coloured and die cut the peach image.

I used the square from the pierced rounded frames die set and stamped the big Hello sentiment onto white card.  I finished by adding a couple of embellishments and it was alldone!

Easter Egg Week - Day 1

March 11, 2024

Easter is just around the corner and so is the Easter Bunny!

Avery Elle has this adorable mini set called Easter Egg featuring this bunny peeking out from the egg.  I've colored the image with Copic markers and die cut using the coordinating Easter Egg Elle-ments.  The background was done using two different stencils.....the Polka Dots and Scalloped Stripes.  A white frame from Scalloped Burst Elle-ments was die cut and added with foam adhesive.  Details were added with a white pigment pen.

Modern Tags Week - Day 1

February 5, 2024

Hey y'all! I'm sharing a card I created using the Modern Tags dies and the gorgeous Scalloped Stripes stencil.  You may notice a fairly liberal coating of glitter too - well there's a wee story behind that!

But first ... I created a card using the tag die and then stencilled the scalloped stripes using Distress Oxide inks in Ripe Persimmon and Squeezed Lemonade.  I love this stencil - I think I'll be using it A LOT!
I cut the HB2U letters from white card then added some foam squares and popped them on to the card.

I wanted to add a wee bit of sparkle so dug out some little star sequins and gems to add on.  I reached for the glue and squeezed - a little too hard it would seem.  The bottle exploded onto my desk and landed everywhere - including all over my card!!  Instead of crying and yeeting it out the window, I scraped as much as I could off it.  Then decided the only thing for it, was GLITTER! And lots of it!  So I sprayed the entire card front with adhesive spray and then dunked the whole thing in Rock Candy distress glitter!
No one need ever know it almost ended in disaster!
