Hey all! Heather here. I'm back with a card and a video here today!

For my project today, I played with the new Avery Elle Cotton Candy stamp and die set to create this fun shaker card!

To show you how I created my shaped card, I created a video.

So fun and super easy, right!?!

Cotton Candy Week - Day 2

February 27, 2019

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card to share with you today featuring the Cotton Candy stamp set.  When I saw this stamp set, I wanted to figure out a way to make a card that actually looked like cotton candy (minus the sticky).

My solution was to use polyester fiber-fill or stuffing.  I sponged the fiber-fill with Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick before glueing the fluff to a stamped and colored image of the spool of cotton candy.  I adhered a second layer of card stock on top of the stamped image. Before adhering the two layers of card stock together, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added a couple of the accent stars and circles.  I used both cotton candy outline dies to cut a border from white glitter card stock.

This card was so fun to make, and the fiber-fill really does look like cotton candy!

By popular request, I made a video to show you how this card came together.  I hope you'll take a peek!

An Adorable Card by Yainea

February 26, 2019

Hello!

I't Yainea here today to share with you another card I made with the new products from the Avery Elle Spring release.

This time, I've combined Ray die with All of Us stamps to create a thank you card. I had fun playing with my inks to create the background, first I applied and blended the different ink colors and the I sprinkled some water on top to add texture. The cute row of bears was colored with alcohol markers.

I just love this Ray die! For this card I used it to create a sun with rays but it's also perfect to create attention spots on your cards!

I hope you feel inspired to something today! Thank you so much for stopping by, have a nice day!

Cotton Candy Week - Day 1

February 25, 2019

Hi everyone, this is Nicky with you today and I'm sharing a cheerful and delicious shaker card made using the Cotton Candy stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments.

My card started with me using StazOn White Pigment Ink to stamp the Cotton Candy image and sentiment onto acetate.  I used my Misti to do this so that it wouldn't slide around on the shiny surface and I could be sure of getting a nice crisp image stamped.  I set this to one side to dry for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile I ink blended a panel with Distress Oxides in Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade and Cracked Pistachio.  I also took the smaller of the two Cotton Candy dies and die cut another panel of white cardstock.  With the acetate now dry I layered the die cut panel over the stamped image, securing it with my tape runner.  I then flipped over the panel and used extra thick dimensional foam tape to create a shaker unit and also the foam tape was added around the outside so that it was all stable and level.

I filled the space with my chosen shaker contents - a blend that I concocted myself and then sealed them in by backing the unit with the ink blended panel and in turn the entire shaker unit was adhered to a sturdy 110lb white cardstock base.

Card complete!  I hope you enjoyed it and are feeling inspired.  See you next time I have an Avery Elle card to share.

Nicky x

Peek A Boo Pets Week - Day 5

February 22, 2019

Hey everyone! Heather Campbell here. I'm so thrilled to be here today because I get to share one of my favorite cards I've ever made.
I'm having so much fun with the Peek-a-Boo series and these Peek-a-Boo Pets are just too much fun.

To create my card, I stamped and die cut the pig, sheep, cow and chick (omg, that chick!!!) and their coordinating feet/wings.  I also stamped and die cut the sentiment bubbles and stars.  I colored them in and set them aside.  To work on the card base, I ink blended a background and then adhered some clouds from Photo Mat.  I used the Oval Burst die to create a mat and then just popped the images behind it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!  Have a great one!
XOXO, Heather

Peek-A-Boo Pets Week - Day 4

February 21, 2019

Hi Everyone! Ashley here sharing the newest addition to the Peek-A-Boo series, Peek-A-Boo Pets!

Let's jump right in...

I started my card by coloring two of the pets included in the set. The hamster and hedgehog are two of my favorites! Next, I blended a background with Distress Oxides and heat embossed the sentiment. Then, I die cut the work "happy" with Confetti Mat Die and stamped the "oh yeah" sentiment.

Finally, I assembled all of the pieces. I love this card and I hope you do too!

Hello!
Amy here sharing a card using the newest addition to the Peek-a-Boo lineup...........Peek-a-Boo Pets!

I created a cute little scene for my pets to peek out of.  Using the new Quilted Frame Elle-mentsI ink blended my sky using Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Broken China and added some clouds with a stencil.

My cow and pig were Copic colored and are peeking out of the oval with foam adhesive.  A small die cut grass for the background and the bold black speech bubbles finish this card.

Peek A Boo Pets Week - Day 1

February 18, 2019

Hey there, Caryn here today with a look at the fantastic Peek-a-Boo Pets stamp set along with the equally wonderful Market Stand set - both from the current Spring release.

Oh my gosh - to say these stamp sets are a match made in Heaven would be an understatement.  Those critters are just screaming to be put inside that booth!  And who wouldn't want to give that piggy the biggest squeeze ever??!!

I started with an A2 card base and lightly blended some Tumbled Glass Oxide ink with a little Silver Fox Pigment ink onto the background.  I added a few splatters of water and a little white paint and set it aside to dry.

Meanwhile I stamped all my images and coloured them with Copics before die cutting everything out.  I used one of the hearts in the Market Stand set to decorate the booth - so cute!

To finish I added all my elements with foam tape and added glossy accents here and there for some extra texture.

All Of Us Week - Day 5

February 15, 2019

Hi Everyone! Ashley here today sharing a few of my favorites from the brand new release! When I was unpacking my new stamps there were definitely a few stamp sets that grabbed my attention. All of Us was one of those sets. I love it!

I started this card with those adorable bears! I had such a fun time choosing how I wanted them to look. I absolutely adore that panda bear! Next, I used the Arrow Mat die to cut out a triangle to create the window. Then, I had a lot of fun and blended the hill and sky with Distress Oxides. I wanted a big sentiment so I die cut Happy Birthday from gold glitter card stock with the Confetti Mat die.

Finally I added a few clouds from the Photo Mat Die and adhered all of the pieces together.

I hope you enjoyed my card today! I can't wait to see what you create!

All Of Us Week - Day 4

February 14, 2019

First of all, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!  If I had realized when I made this card it'd be posting on Valentine's I probably would have changed the theme of this card.  But I didn't so you get birthday instead! :)

For my post today, I'm playing with the All of Us stamp set.  When I was designing this set, I loved the idea of it so I'm thrilled it's here and now I get to see it come to life.

To create my card, I stamped and die cut 2 rows of cats.  I colored them in having so much fun replicating just about any cat color combo I could think of.  Then, I stamped and die cut 2 of the sentiment and some party hats.

I love how you can pop the sentiments up on these signs the animals can be holding. It puts a fun spin on it. :) I created a shaker using some sequins and accented it with the Avery Elle course glitter

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me.  Have a great one!
XO, Heather

All Of Us Week - Day 3

February 13, 2019

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card to share with you today featuring the All of Us stamp set.

I stamped the line of kitties onto white card stock twice using Avery Elle's New Moon Dye ink.  Next, I used Copic Markers to add markings to each kitty. It was so fun to give each kitty unique markings and his or her own personality. I die cut the kitties with the coordinating All of Us Elle-ments die and trimmed each line in half.

I arranged the kitties in frames cut with the Photo Mat Elle-ments die.  I stamped, colored and die cut the little signs and tucked them behind the line of kitties. I backed each frames scene with patterned paper and adhered the frames onto a note card that I covered with diagonal patterned paper from the Sorbet Patterned Paper collection.

As a finishing touch, I added some of the photo corners and other elements from the Photo Mat Elle-ments set.

Supplies:
All of Us Clear Stamps
Dies- All of Us Elle-ments
Dies- Photo Mat Elle-ments
New Moon Dye Ink
The Sorbet Collection Paper Pad

I just love this set.  It's perfect for making cards from a crowd of kitties, puppies or bears!
Thanks for stopping by!

Katie

All of Us Week - Day 2

February 12, 2019

Hey there Avery Elle fans, Caryn here today with a fun card with a masculine touch using the wonderfully cute new ALL OF US stamp set and dies.  I have also used another fabulous new die set from the current release called Arrow Mat which comes with this awesome frame and a small panel to co-ordinate.

I started with a grey card base and die cut the Arrow Frame die from white cardstock.  I used foam tape to pop this onto the card front.  I stamped the row of cats image twice and coloured them with Copics then snipped the two rows in half so I could stack them and have them fit onto an A2 portrait card.  So versatile!

To finish I stamped and die cut one of the signs and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment onto it.  I think this set is great for all occasions - masculine and feminine - can't wait to play with it some more!

All of Us Week - Day 1 & A Winner

February 11, 2019

Hello!  This is Nicky with you today and I'm sharing a card using the new All Of Us stamp set and the coordinating Elle-ments.

I took a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock and using Clarity Stencil Brushes I first ink blended with Distress Ink in Cracked Pistachio.  I then used the Dotted Borders Elle-ments from a previous release to cut the bottom 'grassy' section.  The zig zag edge cuts and so I adhered that piece back together on the reverse.  With the remainder of the panel I ink blended again with Distress Inks and the brushes using Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade and Spun Sugar - going all out with the ultra pastels!  I again used the same dies to cut a matching edge in this section too.

I directly adhered the pastel 'sky' section to my 110lb white cardstock base.  I backed the 'grassy' portion with a thicker than normal dimensional foam tape and then that was attached to the card base also.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock again, I stamped my images (I chose the bears but there are a line of cats and a line of dogs to choose from in this stamp set .... all cute).  My images were stamped with Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil.   I watercolour painted everything using Kuretake Zigs in the following colours.  Bears were done in Oatmeal 064, Beige 072 and Mid Gray 096.  Pastel colours for party hats and blushing cheeks were done with Pale Orange 054, Pale Yellow 055, Light Pink 026 and Green Shadow 049.

I die cut the images that I'd painted and I backed them with regular dimensional foam tape and tucked the line of bears behind the green scalloped edge.  A couple of either vertically challenged or shy bears hold up signs from the back of the crowd!  I guess they could be both!

Finishing touches were to use a Uni-ball Signo white gel pen to highlight the bear's cheeks!  Finally I dug into my sequin collection and found the perfect mix of festive twinkle and glued them using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.  Card complete.

Thanks for coming by the blog today to read about how I made this dimensional card.

See you next time!

Nicky x
