Floating Wishes Week - Day 2

May 30, 2018

Hello!

Katie here with a card to share using the Floating Wishes stamp set.  I love these floaty, scripty sentiments and the shaped balloon images are super sweet.

I used the 'celebrate' sentiment in place of a balloon string and adhered the heart balloon to the top.  I added a couple more balloons to a blended ink background and finished the card with a few pink and yellow sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Gorgeous Card By Yainea!

May 29, 2018

Hello there!!

It's Yainea here today featuring a really cool die from the Summer release: the Hatch Mat Die. I combined it with the beatiful Hummingbird stamp set to create this card. I've been practicing the no line coloring techinque with my liquid watercolors and I'm really enjoying it :)

To color the flowers I first stamped them using a very soft dye ink and then I colored them using my Avery Elle liquid watercolors. Then I die cut them and adhered to a paper cut using the Hatch Mat die, stamped my sentiment and added some clear drops and a rustic cord.
I love that you can use the stripes of the die to add more interest to your card, it also makes the perfect frame! I love adding diagonal sentiments and this die makes it so easy!

I hope you feel inspired to get crafty, have a nice day!!

Floating Wishes Week - Day 1

May 28, 2018

Hi, this is Nicky back with you today, this time I'm sharing a card using Floating Wishes from the new summer release together with the coordinating dies.

I created a card panel of smooth watercolour cardstock, ink blended it with distress ink and then distressed it with water and paint splashes.   I stamped the thank you sentiment from the set 4 times to create the illusion of ribbons that spell out words.  The panel was then die cut using Postage Stamp Elle-ments and the two cuts were reassembled, adhered together on the reverse side then applied to the card base with a layer of craft foam sandwiched in between.

The four heart balloons were stamped with archival ink onto more smooth watercolour cardstock and watercolour painted then applied with dimensional foam tape.  The whole scene was finished out with a selection of toning sequins.

Thanks for stopping by to read, see you next time!

Hummingbird Week - Day 4

May 24, 2018

Hi Friends! Ashley here today sharing the super pretty Hummingbirds stamp set!

I can't get enough of the liquid water colors so I started by embossing several images from the Hummingbirds stamp set. Next I just played with the water colors and the images, blending several of the colors on the bird and flower.

I love the big sentiments in this release so I decided to stamp the big "happy" and "birthday" from Big Birthday I finished the card with a little more water coloring and twine.

Hummingbird Week - Day 3

May 23, 2018

Hi everyone!
Amy Kolling here today sharing a card using the new Hummingbird stamp set.

Hummingbird

I started by heat embossing my main elements using Avery Elle Gold Embossing Powder onto Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper.  Using the Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors, I watered them down and using a waterbrush, I watercolored the images using several layers in some areas.

Hummingbird2

I added my images to a panel of cardstock that was cut with the Hatch Mat Elle-ments.  This die leaves the perfect spaces to stamp your sentiment!  I love the angle look!

Hummingbird Week - Day 2

May 22, 2018

Hi all! It's Deasy here. Today I want to share my card for Avery Elle featuring Hummingbird Stamp Set! This set is so gorgeous and pretty! For my card today, I color it with watercolor. I have so much fun!

Avery Elle supplies that I'm using :
Hummingbird Clear Stamps for the images
Hummingbird Elle-ments to die cut the images
Oval Burst Elle-ments to die cut the frame
Peel A Boo Pals Clear Stamps for the sentiment
Rich Gold Metallic Embossing Powder for the images

I stamp the images, heat emboss with gold embossing powder, color the images using watercolor then die cut it. The sentiment is from gold embossing powder. To add some shadow, I apply Dye Ink with blending tool in the inside of the frame. For the embellishment, I add clear sequins.

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting!

Hugs,

Melania Deasy

Hummingbrid Week - Day 1

Hey there, it's Caryn here with a couple of cards I created using the beautiful Hummingbird stamp set and Elle-ments from the Summer 2018 release.  This set features a gorgeous Hummingbird image along with a fuchsia design but it could be mixed and matched with so many other floral sets from Avery Elle

Both cards started with a frame cut from purple cardstock using the largest of the Reverse Pinked Elle-ments and feature some of the images from the set coloured with Copics.

On the first card I created a gold foiled background using the Painted Backdrops stamp set.  I took the striped image and stamped it using Versamark ink onto the card then heat embossed it with sticky embossing powder from Wow.  Once this was "melted" I added gold foil over the top and ran it through a Minc machine.  The effect is so pretty.  I simply added the sentiment from the Magnolia set in black ink and popped the flower and bird images onto the front using foam tape.

My second card features the larger of the flower images coloured with Copics and adhered onto the card front with foam tape.

I stamped the "Have A Wonderful Day" sentiment in black ink and finished off with some adhesive gems.

Magnolia Week - Day 5

May 18, 2018

Hi Everyone! Ashley here today sharing the beautiful stamp set Magnolia. The light pink and white flowers are my favorite.

To start my card I heat embossed the large magnolia flower in the set on watercolor paper. Next I colored the flower with VERY watered down Cherry and Celery liquid water colors.

Then I created the water colored background with Mimosa and stamped the sentiment from Floating Wishes. I used the Wonky Scalloped Frames Dies to frame the water coloring. I mounted this all on the striped card base. To create the stripes I simply masked lines, blended Distress Ink and splattered water colors.

Thank you for visiting today!

Magnolia Week - Day 3

May 16, 2018

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card to share with you today featuring the gorgeous new Magnolia stamp set.  We are lucky to have a well-established Magnolia tree in our front garden and I always eagerly anticipate its bloom each spring.  With the Magnolia stamp set, it can be spring anytime!

For my card, I blended Distress Oxide ink (Tattered Rose) onto a panel of watercolor card stock. I spattered water onto the blended panel to lift some of the ink.  Next I die cut adhered the largest Wonky Scalloped Frame.

For the flowers, I stamped them with Versafine Black Onyx ink onto watercolor card stock and heat embossed the images using Avery Elle's clear fine detail embossing Powder. I colored the blooms using Avery Elle's liquid watercolors in Cherry and Mint to Be.  I die cut the flowers using the coordinating Magnolia Elle-ments dies, stamped the sentiment in black ink and adhered the flowers to the card- the larger bloom was adhered to the card using foam tape for some added dimension.  As a finishing touch, I added a few clear gems.

Magnolia Week - Day 2

May 15, 2018

Hey, it's Caryn here with a look at the new Magnolia stamp set.  I LOVE Magnolia trees and am always envious of my neighbour's garden when theirs is in full bloom!  Now I know my card strays a little from the traditional colours of pink and white but who says you can't use a bit of artistic license now and then!!

I created a card base from pale lemon cardstock and die cut the largest of the Wonky Scalloped Frames from grey.  I used some of the grey patterned paper from the Neutrals Paper Collection behind the frame and adhered it onto the card.  I stamped the Magnolia images in grey ink and coloured them with Zig Clean Colour Markers and then finished off with some Nuvo drops in the centre of the large bloom.

Magnolia Week - Day 1 & Winner

May 14, 2018

This week we are featuring projects from our Magnolia clear stamps and die set. The design team's projects are amazing so enjoy! Nicky is here with our first post of the week. Isn't the card gorgeous?

Hello everybody this is Nicky with you today on the blog sharing a card using - Magnolia - from the new Avery Elle Summer Release.  As you might expect there are coordinating dies to compliment the stamp set.  I decided on a special shaker card and to create this I die cut a white panel using the rectangular die from the Large Pierced Scallops die set to create a broad frame.

I lined the back of the frame with acetate and applied dimensional foam tape around the border, filled it generously with a a fun mix from my collection of glitters and sequins.  I then applied another layer of acetate to seal it all in and adjoined this to the card base.

On smooth watercolour cardstock I lightly stamped the images using distress inks.  I masked off areas of the stamp and stamped in green then cleaned, re-masked then stamped in pink so that my outline colours were what I wanted. Next I watercolour painted the flower images applying a little more colour for depth here and there.  When I was happy I die cut the flowers and applied them to the acetate shaker window using dimensional foam tape.

I decided the card simply didn't need a sentiment on the outside, although one could easily have been added and the stamp set does include some pretty ones.  The finishing touch was some subtle glimmer that I applied with a gel pen which only shows when the card is handled and moved.

The shaker window was sufficiently filled so that the contents didn't just sit at the bottom, but also leaving just enough room to give a satisfying shuffling sound when shaken.

Thank you so much for taking a moment to read about how I made this card.  See you next time!
