Polar Playtime Week - Day 5

November 15, 2019

 Hi Everyone!

Ashley here today! I'm sharing a card featuring Polar Playtime.

This card is a was so much fun to created. I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring several images from Polar Playtime and Cocoa Stand. Next, I cut a snow hill and blended the background. Then I added all of the images to the scene.

I love how easy and fun it is to build a cute scene with these stamps!

Thanks for stopping by!

Polar Playtime Week - Day 4

November 14, 2019

Hello Avery Elle friends,

Katie here with a card featuring the cute Arctic friends from the Polar Playtime stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments dies.

I paired the Polar animals with the Grand Photo Mat die to create a little wintery scene. I stamped the animals onto white card stock, colored the images with Copic Markers and die cut the images using the coordinating Polar Playtime Elle-ments dies.

Next, I die cut the Drand Photo Mat Elle-ments die from white card stock. I die cut the snow drift portion of the die from glitter card stock. To add some detail to the photo frame, I stamped the little bonus images on the mat using Antique Linen Distress Ink.

I blended a panel of watercolor card stock with two shades of Distress Ink (Lucky Clover and Peacock Feathers), spattered the panel with white ink, and positioned it behind the photo mat.  I love how the spatters look like stars in a sky illuminated by the Northern Lights. I added the glittery snow drifts and attached the animals to the panel with foam tape. Finally I curved one of the sentiments from the Snow Fun stamp set and stamped it onto the dotted banner. I adhered the completed panel to an A2 note card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Polar Playtime Week - Day 3

November 13, 2019

It's Yainea here today sharing a card made with the Polar Playtime stamps + coordinating dies. Christmas is just around the corner and these cuties are perfect to create a ton of different cards to cheer up your family and friends. And talking about making a ton of cards, I just love the Avery Elle Holiday ephemera pack. It's so easy to create amazing looking cards in no time! One of my favorite pieces is the snow globe and it's the perfect match to this pair of penguins :)

To create my card I stamped, colored and die cut the penguins using my alcohol markers. I picked some elements from the Holiday ephemera pack to easily create the rest of the card. I just needed to add a little bow! Oh! The background paper is not from the Holiday collection but from the Create Magic card kit. I wanted a soft palette and that mauve background with starts was the perfect addition!

I hope you like my project nad I hope I inspired you to go to the craft room and have some fun! Thank you so much for your visit, have a nice day!

Polar Playtime Week - Day 2

November 12, 2019

Hello!  Amy here today with a CAS winter card.  Often creating a "scene" card seems overwhelming, right?  I wanted to share how I brought the "clean" and "simple" to this card.

Polar Playtime

To create the "clean" part of the card is simply the background........keep the white space!  I did this but added color with a simple die, Snow Scene Elle-ments.  Several colors of blue Distress Oxide inks were blended onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then die cut.  Once cut, the panel was spritzed with Clear Shimmer Spray and Crystal Stickles were added to the snow that stayed in place during die cutting.

Polar Playtime3

For the "simple", I knew I wanted to use this ONE image from Polar Playtime......the critters sledding.  I thought about what these critters would be doing and voila a simple panel cut at an angle becomes the slope.  Add a bit of fine glitter to the edge with a Zig 2-way glue pen......perfect snow.

The angled panel was added with foam adhesive over the Snow Scene background.  To finish, the sledding critters (colored with Copic markers) were added with foam adhesive and the sentiment was stamped out behind as if skidding down the hill.  Once done, a few white pigment ink details were added to the critters.

Polar Playtime Week - Day 1

November 11, 2019

Hello, it's Nicky back with you today with another card for the holiday season.  This card features Polar Playtime, together with the Wonky Scalloped Frames Die and Wonky 3D Bow and the sentiment is from Snow Fun.

To start with, I had lots of fun ink blending the background, I used Picked Raspberry, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot Distress Inks to achieve this look.  I then loosened up some white acrylic paint with a splash of water and splattered until my heart was content, setting it to one side to fully dry afterwards.

I die cut the white scalloped frames and backed them with foam tape and I also stamped the penguins from Polar Playtime onto Bristol Smooth using black ink and watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs in Green, Oatmeal, Light Pink, Bright Yellow, Orange, Natural Gray and Wine Red.  I die cut the images, backed them with foam tape and then adhered both frames and penguins to the background.

I die cut and constructed the bow from the Wonky 3D Bow die using some matte gold cardstock in my collection.  I adhered it into position and then used a double layer of foam tape discretely inside each loop so that the card could be mailed and the bow wouldn't be crushed.  Note .... I didn't remove the protective cover to the top layer of foam.  The bow was adhered into position.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Snow Fun using Versamark Ink and heat embossed in gold.  I backed it with yet more foam tape and applied.  I felt the warm gold touches in this card worked well with the rich colour of the background.

Finally I dotted in some gold gel pen dots into the background and highlighted points on the penguins with a white gel pen.

Hope you like the card, thanks for coming by to read.

Cocoa Stand Week - Day 5

November 8, 2019

Hi Everyone! Ashley here sharing the fun Cocoa Stand stamp set. I made a shaker tag that can also be used on a card. Let's take a look...

To create my shaker tag I started by stamping several images from Cocoa Stand. I die cut and colored them and assembled them together. Next, I die cut two more stands and adhered them behind the colored one. Then, I added strips of foam adhesive around the edges of the opening. Finally, I added sequins, beads and backed it with the Snow Scene die cut. I added a piece of white card stock behind the Snow Scene to finish it off so that the sequins wouldn't fall through the holes. This makes such  a cute tag OR ...

...a card! To finish this tag in to a card I added a sentiment and a strip of patterned paper to the side and mounted it all on a card base.

What option do you like best? Tag or card?!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cocoa Stand Week - Day 4

November 7, 2019

Hey everyone! It's Heather Campbell here.

I'm super excited to be sharing today's project using the new Cocoa Stand stamp set.

To create my card, I stamped and die cut the images from Cocoa Stand stamp set. I colored them all in and got them ready to put on my card.  I mounted a piece of Holiday patterned paper on a card front, added a white piece of cardstock to appear as snowy ground and then mounted everything with dimensional foam.

Easy peasy and oh so cute!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!

Cocoa Stand Week - Day 3

November 6, 2019

Hello Avery Elle friends,

Katie here with a card featuring the darling Cocoa Stand clear stamps. This set is so cute and perfect for the holiday season. I love that it comes with an adorable bear or you can mix and match this set with the other critters in the Peek-A-Boo sets!

I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers. Since I was using a lot of images to create my tree farm scene, I used the same red and green blending trio throughout the stamped elements to create some visual consistency.  Next I die cut the stamped images using the coordinating Cocoa Stand Elle-ments dies.

The background of the card was created by layering die cuts using the Classic Flags Elle-ments die set along with the Snow Scene Elle-ments die. I arranged all the images onto the background and adhered them using a tape runner. I attached the completed panel to an A2 notecard that I covered with a piece of red diagonal patterned paper from the Holiday Collection Paper Pad.

That's all for me today, but you are in for a treat. We have another round of Cocoa Stand inspiration courtesy of the talented Amy Kolling!

Hello!  Amy here with a card using a holiday addition to the Peek-A-Boo series........Cocoa Stand.  There are so many adorable images to make your own cocoa stand, sled rental stand, or tree farm stand!

My card was started with a piece of snowfall paper from The Holiday Collection 6x6 Paper Pad.  A white frame using the Plus Frame Elle-ments was added with foam adhesive.

All the images were Copic colored and die cut using the coordinating Cocoa Stand Elle-ments.  To make the scene stand out, all the images were added with foam adhesive.  Finally, white pigment pen was used to give those finishing details.

Cocoa Stand Week - Day 2

November 5, 2019

Hi there! Elena here, with a closer look at a set from our newest release, Cocoa Stand.

I adore this cocoa stand! I opted to bring in a snowman from Snow Fun to do the serving. I just love his gigantic hat (and head, I guess!) The bird from Snow Fun looks so cute perched atop the cocoa stand too.

Cocoa Stand features so many cute images for scene-building. I layered in the little sled, a gift, a few trees, and of course, a nice big mug of hot chocolate. I also added a swag of greenery to dress up the front of the stand.

Behind the hot chocolate stand, I added a snowy circle by way of the Holiday Ephemera pack. I snipped off the snow globe's bottom and slipped it behind the stand.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Cocoa Stand Week - Day 1

November 4, 2019

Hi!  Nicky back with you today and I have a fun new card for the holiday season featuring Cocoa Stand and I've also used Dotted Borders for the two snow drifts.

I love to make backgrounds, especially snowy ones and for this one I ink blended with Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Chipped Sapphire and a little Black Soot.  I then splattered it up with white acrylic paint that I loosened up with a drop of water.

I die cut two snow drifts using the Dotted Borders die.  I adhered one directly and the other was backed with foam tape and added.  I stamped 'season's greetings' from the set onto a strip of cardstock and applied it with foam tape.  The entire panel was adhered to a sturdy 110lb white cardstock base and set to one side.

On Bristol Smooth cardstock the images from Cocoa Stand were stamped then watercolour painted  using Kuretake Zigs in Wine Red, Persian Green, Oatmeal, Cool Gray 1, Light Pink and finally a Tombow ABT in shade 761.  Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and images were die cut, backed with foam tape and applied to the scene.

Glitter was added to the hanging star, the snow on the stand and the string lights and I adhered little wood stars into sky to keep the look sweetly rustic.

What's not to love about Cocoa Stand I ask you?

See you next time!

Over to Caryn ...

I just LOVE Heather's Peek-a-Boo designs and the Cocoa Stand set may be my favourite so far!  That cute polar bear just makes me melt!
I started with a white card base and blended some Tumbled Glass distress ink to give a hint of snowy sky and splattered some white paint over it so add some subtle snowfall.
I stamped the images I wanted for my card in New Moon dye ink and then coloured them with Copics before die-cutting.

I assembled my scene using foam tape and Avery Elle liquid adhesive and then finished off with some glossy accents on the bows and fairy lights and some distress glitter on the snow.

Snow Fun Week - Day 5

November 1, 2019

Today I'm sharing Snow Fun! Let's take a peek..

I stamped, die cut and colored three snow people from Snow Fun.  Next I used the ephemera for the background, frame and Merry Christmas sentiment. I cut a snow drift from card stock, stamped the sentiment and assembled the card.

Snow Fun Week - Day 4

October 31, 2019

Hey everyone! Heather Campbell here.
First of all... HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Hopefully you all have something spooktacular planned for tonight!

Now to business... the card! Today, I am playing with Snow Fun.

For my card, first I stamped, die cut and colored in the images from Snow Fun. Then, I got to work playing with lots of Avery Elle dies - especially the Oval Burst die and the Snow Scene die.

I pulled everything together and matted it on a card front layered with Avery Elle Holiday patterned paper. Have you tried our new patterned papers yet? They are AMAZING!

Anyways, that's it from me today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Snow Fun Week - Day 3

Katie Gehring here with a quick video to share with you today featuring the adorable snow people from the Snow Fun stamp set and coordinating Elle-ments dies.

In my video, I demonstrate a simple technique for creating DIY stencils using my Avery Elle dies along with Mylar stencil sheets that I purchased from Amazon.

I love finding new uses for supplies that I already own and creating re-usable stencils using dies is a great way to stretch your crafty stash! I hope you'll take a peek at my video to see how it all came together!

Hello!  Amy here with an adorable snowman from the Snow Fun stamp set.  Snowmen are one of my weaknesses.  This set FIVE snowmen and a few birds.  This set can be used for so many occasions throughout the holidays!

Snow Fun

I went retro with my snowman and green!  I started with the Snow Scene Elle-ments die cut with white cardstock and then a layer of pink cardstock behind.  Doesn't everyone want to see pink snowflakes?

To add a bit more color, I adhered a strip of striped paper from The Happy Collection Paper Pad.  I adhered my colored and die cut snowman with foam adhesive over a adhesive backed sentiment strip.  As a finishing touch, I added Crystal Stickles to all the snowflakes!

Snow Fun Week - Day 1

October 28, 2019

Hi there! Elena here, with a fun card featuring the adorable Snow Fun stamp set. I also used some elements from the ephemera set, which makes putting Christmas cards together so easy!

I started out by lifting a sheet of blue snowy patterned paper, from our Holiday Collection paper pad. I love that the blue has more depth of color at the bottom and fades out near the top.

The trio of snowmen are holding a string of lights from another new set, Cocoa Stand. The tree, present and candy cane are also from that set. I love how well the sets work together!

To finish off, I added a sentiment from the Holiday Ephemera pack. I love how it fills up the space!

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!
