Thinking Of You By Caryn

May 29, 2020

Caryn created this gorgeous thinking of you card.  I just love it. Check it out! - Jamie

Hey there, I'm over on the Avery Elle Blog today with a card featuring a fabulous little set called You've Got This.   It has a gorgeous feature sentiment that also has a two-layered accompanying die and then lots of great encouraging extra sentiments for lots of different (and difficult) occasions.

I started with a white card base and blended some Lemon Grass and Sea Glass inks to give a little colour to the background.  I then took some aqua coloured cardstock and made a panel using the Embellished Heart die to make an aperture.  I wrapped some Midnight Twine around the panel then popped it on the card front using foam tape.

I finished off the card by die-cutting the two layers of the sentiment in black and white card and adhered it across the heart aperture.

A Legendary Card By Caryn

May 28, 2020

Caryn created this next card we have for you today.  She  illustrated the stamp set too!   I love seeing ideas for how the artist intended it to  be used! - Jamie

"Hey there! I’m over on the Avery Elle Blog today with a card using the fun Legendary stamp set and co-ordinating dies from the brand new Summer release. I am always wracking my brains for ideas for cards for the boys and thought a Kraken-themed set would be ideal!
I started with a pool-coloured card base and then die cut a front panel using the Grand Photo Mat Elle-ments in white and aqua.  I popped the frame part onto the card front using foam tape then sank the inner panel into the card and adhered it with the new Liquid Glue (I love this as it gives you a little “wiggle time” before it sets firmly into place)  I added a little blue ink around the edges of the clouds then popped them into place with foam tape for a little dimension.
Next I stamped and die cut the Kraken, cake and pirate ship images from the set and coloured them with Copics.    I used the two wave sections that I had cut in aqua card from the Grand Photo Mat die and adhered everything to make it look like the beast from the deep was coming up out of the ocean grabbing the cake and ship and dragging them back down to the murky depths!!!  I think this would make a great slider card – must work on that idea!!
To finish I stamped the sentiment onto the banner die that also comes in the Grand Photo Mat die set and added some green glitter glue to the tentacles.

Peek-A-Boo Summer Pals With Caryn

May 27, 2020

Hello!   i wanted to highlight this adorable card that Caryn created for us last year. How cute is this?! - Jamie

"Sharing a card I made by pairing the gorgeous   Peek-a-Boo Summer pals stamp set with the Dotted Frame Die and the wavey bits from the Sea Scene Die.  The sentiment came from the previously released Simple Sentiments stamp set and co-ordinating dies.
I’m addicted to the new Clear Shimmer Spray too so before I added my stamped shark and floaty I gave the card a wee spritz – I think it adds to the ocean theme really well!

Stuck On You By Heather

May 26, 2020

Heather used our Stuck On You and And Then  stamp sets to create this really cute card.  I love how she colored these cute little guys!

"Hey all! Today I'm back with a card using the adorable mini, Stuck On You!

To create my card, I thought it would be fun to use the adorable cacti to create a background pattern and use them to frame a sentiment.

First I stamped a sentiment, from the new And Then stamp set.  Once that was stamped, I stamped all of the cacti and hearts and colored it all in.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!  Have a great one!

All of Us With Heather

May 25, 2020

I love this next card that Heather made for us last year!  Check it out!

"For my post today, I'm playing with the new Avery Elle All of Us stamp set.  When I was designing this set, I loved the idea of it so I'm thrilled it's here and now I get to see it come to life.

To create my card, I stamped and die cut 2 rows of cats.  I colored them in having so much fun replicating just about any cat color combo I could think of.  Then, I stamped and die cut 2 of the sentiment and some party hats.

I love how you can pop the sentiments up on these signs the animals can be holding. It puts a fun spin on it. :) I created a shaker using some sequins and accented it with the Avery Elle course glitter

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me.  Have a great one!

Peek-A-Boo Pets With Heather

May 22, 2020

We are featuring another cute project by Heather today.  How sweet is this card?  I love it! - Jamie

"Hey everyone! I'm so thrilled to be here today because I get to share one of my favorite cards I've ever made.

I'm having so much fun with the Peek-a-Boo series and these Peek-a-Boo Pets are just too much fun.

To create my card, I stamped and die cut the pig, sheep, cow and chick (omg, that chick!!!) and their coordinating feet/wings.  I also stamped and die cut the sentiment bubbles and stars.  I colored them in and set them aside.  To work on the card base, I ink blended a background and then adhered some clouds from Photo Mat.  I used the Oval Burst die to create a mat and then just popped the images behind it.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!  Have a great one!
XOXO, Heather "

Monster Wishes from Heather

May 21, 2020

Heather created this adorable card back in January and I thought it was worth another look.  Who wouldn't want to receive a cute card like this?!

"For today's card, I'm using the new Cloud Mat die as a backdrop for a fun scene.

To create my card, I first die cut the cloud mat from white cardstock and then a piece of green to create some ground. I love that by doing this I'm able to create even more uses for such a great die.

Then, I stamped, colored and die cut the car and present from Peek-a-Boo Car and monsters and a sentiment sign from Peek-a-Boo Scary Pals. Finally I assembled the card, added white gel and glossy accents.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me. Have a wonderful day!

Rainbows with Amy

May 13, 2020

Check out this cute Rainbow card by Amy.   It is sure cheer anyone up!! :)

Hello!  I am sharing my most favorite stamp and die set from the Avery Elle release.......Rainbows!  As I'm sure it's no surprise, this die set flew out of here on release day.  It's fabulous and will be totally worth the wait for more to arrive!

Rainbows

I love a shaped card and the Rainbows Elle-ments comes with a die to do just that!  My card and rainbow layer are all done in white cardstock.  To adhere all the rainbow cardstock pieces, I used the new Liquid Glue Adhesive.  This glue works perfectly to get in those small spaces!  My cloud was stamped with a sentiment from Rainbows and then lightly ink blended on the edges with Broken China Distress Ink.  The cloud was added with foam adhesive and a few raindrops were added to the panel to tie in with the sentiment.  To finish this off, the whole card was spritzed with the new Clear Shimmer Spray.......I love everything about this spray.  It gives off just the right amount of shimmer and shine especially looking at it from an angle.

Hello!  I am here here with a shaker using Avery Elle's Sea Scene Elle-ments for a fun shaker card!

The adorable little girl images on pool floaties were Copic colored and die cut.  I created my shaker card using the Sea Scene Elle-ments, backed it with acetate, and added Avery Elle Coarse Glitter.  I added my shaker to the card, added some die cut clouds from Grand Photo Mat Elle-ments, Copic colored pool images, and stamped my sentiment in black ink.

The 'thanks' stamp, from Hooray, was stamped repeatedly down a panel of white cardstock, moving the paper up 3/4" each time in my Misti.  This panel was adhered to white note card that was lined on the left side with a strip of black/white striped paper from The Neutral Collection.

To finish, the sentiments from Hooray were stamped onto Simple Sentiment Elle-ments and adhered with foam adhesive.

Peek-A-Boo Balloon With Amy

May 8, 2020

I thought it would be fun to highlight some of our design teams' projects over the next few weeks as we await our next release.  Check out what Amy created back in January.  It is just as cute today as it was then!

"Hello!
I am here with a card that would surely bring a smile and some hugs to a friend!

I love the Peek-a-Boo line from Avery Elle.  The addition of the Peek-a-Boo Balloon for the adorable Peek-a-Boo pals is awesome!
Peek-a-Boo Balloon

I started by die cutting a piece of white cardstock using the Pierced Clouds Elle-ments many times.  As I did this, I added every other row of clouds with foam adhesive.  My hot air balloon was Copic colored in rainbow fashion and die cut.  I added it over the raised clouds as it had a lot of dimension already.  I adhered my Peek-a-Boo bunny with foam adhesive peeking out of the basket.  A stamped 'Sending Hugs' and a few die cut red hearts finished the card.
