2 CUTE Watercolor Cards

March 30, 2018

Hi there!  We have two great cards for you today.  Take a Peek!

It's Yainea here with a cute card featuring the Mermaids stamps and dies. I made a colorful card colored with the Avery Elle liquid watercolors. I seriously love these watercolors, they are so fun to play with! And look at the gorgeous colors! :D

I created the background with a plain brush and the Cherry liquid watercolor. Then I used the waves border die to create those white waves. The sweet mermaids and other elements were colored also with watercolors adding just some accents here and there with colored pencils.

The sentiment was heat embossed with Rich Gold embossing powder and, as a final touch, I added some bubbles with white liquid enamel and some sparkle with a Wink of Stella pen.

I hope you like my projects for today, have a mermazing week! ;)

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share Loads of Wishes along with Banner Bits and Toucan Party

Today's card started with the amazing (irresistible) liquid watercolors. I painted the top and bottom of my card base as well as two panels that were then cut with the Banner Bits die cut.

This created a lovely backdrop for the two birds from Toucan Party that I colored with Copics. I finished this sweet card with a heat embossed sentiment from Loads of Wishes. This might be my favorite font ever! It's just perfect.

Loads Of Wishes Week - Day 4

March 29, 2018

Hello everyone!  It's Heather here.

It's Loads of Wishes week and don't you just love a beautiful sentiment set?!?!  This one is stunning and I know will be a perfect set for my crafty stash.

For my card, I paired a heat embossed sentiment with flowers from Handrawn Florals Clear Stamps (ALSO THUD, THAT SET IS GORGEOUS!!!) and a Chevron Mat die.

To give the florals color, I stamped and heat embossed the images on vellum and then on the reverse side colored with my copics to create a very soft coloring.  Definitely try this technique - it's so fun!
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me.
Have a wonderful day!

Loads Of Wishes Week - Day 3

March 28, 2018

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card featuring just one of the greetings from the Loads of Wishes stamp set.  Loads of Wishes is filled with so many sentiments for every occasion!  The set features beautiful styling and fonts that take the guess-work out of designing the perfect sentiment.

For my card, I paired Loads of Wishes with the new Hand Drawn Florals stamp set.  I stamped the floral images with Versafine ink and heat embossed them with Avery Elle's Clear Embossing powder.  I colored the images with Copic markers and arranged them on a panel of patterned paper from the Sorbet Collection patterned paper pad.

I heat embossed the "hello" sentiment with Avery Elle's white embossing powder onto a strip of black card stock and adhered it to the panel.  I attached the completed panel to a black note card and added a few clear gems as a finishing touch.

Loads of Wishes Week - Day 2

March 27, 2018

Hello!  Amy K. here with a bright, happy card that is perfect for any occasion using the Loads of Wishes stamp set.

I created a rainbow background using the new Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors in Cherry, Fizz, Celery, Aquamarine, and Sugar Plum.  Using a 3/4" Ranger brush, I painted using the watercolors full strength except I did wet the brush with water first.  I did let each strip dry in between colors so there wasn't any bleeding of colors.

Loads of Wishes
Once my panel was dry, I flicked some Black Soot Distress Ink over the panel.  The 'oh happy day' sentiment, from Loads of Wishes, was stamped in black ink over the center of the panel along with some tiny hearts from this same set.  To finish, I added this panel to a white notecard with foam adhesive.

Ellen Hutson Watercolor Blog Hop!

March 23, 2018

Hello!  We are so excited to be hopping along with our friends at Ellen Hutson today.  We are featuring projects using our NEW Liquid Watercolors and are SO excited to show them off in action.  Avery Elle's liquid watercolors come in 10 gorgeous shades that can be used on their own or easily mixed together to create custom colors.  For an intense shade use the watercolors straight out of the bottle.  If you want lighter shades, just add various amounts of water to get the color you desire.  The possibilities are endless.  Be sure to check out all of the details of the hop as well as how to be entered to win one of TWO FULL SETS of our Avery Elle Liquid Watercolors over on the Ellen Hutson Classroom Blog.

Let's get to the hop shall we?

I painted our watercolors onto a watercolor paper die cut panel and set it aside to dry.  In the meantime, I stamped images from our Toucan Party clear stamps and die cut them with the coordinating die set.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black card stock and adhered everything together.  A few Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops finished the card off.

Splash! Week - Day 4

March 22, 2018

Hi Everyone! Ashley here today sharing Splash!, the perfectly trendy must have summer stamp set.

Today I also continued playing with watercolors. Let me show you...

To create my card, I started by placing the Splash! pool die cut on water color paper. I loosely traced the inside with water colors.

Next, I removed the die and spread the colors in and out of my line with ONLY water. This toned down and mixed the colors. Sometimes I only pull the color in but since I wanted a splashing pool like I purposely made areas that were messy and added drips.

To finished my card I added the super fun images from Splash! and embosed the sentiment with Silver Fine Embossing Powder.

Splash! Week - Day 3

March 21, 2018

Hello!  Amy K. here.  There was quite the buzz at Creativation with today's set called Splash.  It's just genius and adorable!

I wanted to share a card using this set in a more clean and simple way.  Using some blue chevron paper from the The Everyday Collection Paper Pad, I trimmed a strip down and layered it with a light pink cardstock.  I colored the cute unicorn floatie and the swan floatie with Copics and die cut using the coordinating Splash Elle-ments.  I added my floaties with foam adhesive and added some rain stone droplets for a water effect.

Tip:  To take this card to another level, use the coordinating Splash Elle-ments with the swimming pool die!  It makes for a cute shaped card!

Splash! Week - Day 2

March 20, 2018

Hi all! It's Deasy here. Today I want to share my card for Avery Elle featuring Splash! stamp set. This set is so gorgeous and cute! For my card today, I made a fun shaker card.

Avery Elle supply that I'm using :
Splash! Clear Stamps for the images and sentiment
Splash! Elle-ments to die cut the images
AE Coarse Glitter for the shaker

I stamp, color the images using copic then die cut it. The sentiment is from white embossing powder. To color the background, I'm using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio with blending tool then splash water with my brush.

Thank you so much for stopping by and happy crafting!

Hugs,

Melania Deasy

Splash Week - Day 1

March 19, 2018

Hey there, it's Caryn here starting off a week of inspiration featuring the Splash clear stamp set and co-ordinating Elle-ments.  Lately I've been having a LOT of fun with the new Avery Elle Liquid Watercolours (look out for a video coming very soon) and have created a perfect backdrop for my chilled out bathing beauties!

I used a thin Yupo paper (picked it up on Amazon) and spritzed it with a fine spray of water before adding Aquamarine liquid watercolour onto it with a paintbrush.  I wasn't too careful or precise as I wanted the background to have some movement and appear more ... watery!  The paper was put aside to dry naturally which does take a bit of time so it's a good idea to create a few background panels in advance so you have them on hand and ready when you want to put a card together!

I stamped a couple of ladies and their floaties of choice onto Neenah white cardstock and coloured them with Copics and then die cut them.  I glued the dried watercoloured panel onto a white A2 card front (landscape orientation) and then added the ladies and a few clear droplets here and there.  I finished of by cutting a strip of aquamarine coloured card and white heat embossed the Birthday Wishes sentiment from the Critter Crew set and tied it off with some Aquamarine twine.

Hi Everyone! Ashley here today sharing the World's Greatest plus a few of my other favorites from the latest Avery Elle release.

Then I stamped, die cut and colored the flower from Toucan Party I finished the card with a die cut banner and an embossed sentiment from Banner Bits.

World's Greatest Week - Day 3

March 15, 2018

Hey everyone!  It's Heather here.

It's World's Greatest week here and oh my gosh, I am so excited for this set!  It's a basic but, in my experience, you really can never go wrong with basics.   I know I'm going to get a ton of mileage from this little set.  Plus, have you seen the sentiment combinations?! (World's Greatest Farter!!!! We all know that person this will make the perfect card for! :))

I decided this set was so fun, I'd make not one but TWO cards to share with you today.

First, I stamped, colored and die cut the trophy.  I kept this card pretty simple with a die cut circle and a bit of washi tape.

However, I thought it would be great to add a little mouse in the tropy - so I pulled out Storybook and stamped the mouse.

Next, I wanted to get a little funny.

I had to use the farter sentiment. It's just too perfect.
Thank you so much for stopping in and sharing part of your day with me.
Have a wonderful day!

World's Greatest Week - Day 2

March 14, 2018

Hello friends,
Katie here today to share with you a funny card featuring the World's Greatest stamp set. It's not every stamp set that includes a "farter" sentiment, so my inner 4th grader and I couldn't resist using it on a card.

I stamped, colored and die cut the trophy image from World's Greatest and added the sentiment (hee hee). Next, I added some little bunnies to the mix from the Party Pals stamp set.  They are the perfect size for fitting inside and next to the trophy.

I die cut the Star Frame Elle-ments from white card stock and added color with a few shades of Distress Oxide inks.  A frame cut created with the Pierced Mats Elle-ments holds everything together.

Supplies:

I hope this card made you giggle. I have the perfect "farter" I mean "father" in mind for this one!

Thanks for stopping by!

Party Pals With Elena

March 13, 2018

Hi there!

Elena here, with a card that mixes some of our newest products:

I used a Pierced Mat die to frame out my focal image: a Party Pals totem pole. I love Party Pals so much! The animals are so adorable, and I know I'll be crafting with them again and again.

Behind the images, I used the new watercolors to paint a quick background. I wet a piece of watercolor paper and then dropped some color onto it and let it spread. If you have trouble with your watercolor paper warping, maybe you'd like this tip: I sandwiched my paper in between thin kitchen towels and ironed it back to flat.

The darker background helps the images to pop, and the stitching around the Pierced Mat adds the perfect finishing detail.

I hope you like what I've created! Thanks for stopping by.

Mermaids Week - Day 4

March 8, 2018

Hi everyone! Ashley here sharing the super sweet Mermaids stamps and dies. This small set is amazing...I mean MERmazing.

Let me show you...

To create my card I started with the background. I water colored a wonky rectangle with Aquamarine and Mimosa. Avery Elle has put together the best color palette in their water colors. I love and need each and every color.

Next, I stamped and die cut the mermaids and seaweed. I did a lot of ombre coloring, starting with a lighter shade and working to a darker shade. I'm already looking forward to coloring these mermaids again...maybe with colored hair next time.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment with Silver Embossing Powder. The crisp and perfectly smooth sentiment makes me so happy! These new Avery Elle embossing powders are addicting because they are so easy to use and the results are stunning!

Thanks for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you create!
