Introducing the Avery Elle Design Team

June 26, 2012

I am so excited to introduce the Avery Elle Design Team to you.  I have been a long time admirer of their work and it is such an honor having these talented ladies representing our products. Here they are in no particular order.

Yainea is a spanish computer engineer that loves creating all kind of things.  Her blog, http://mypaperjourney.blogspot.com/, is a journey through the paper crafts world.  I adore her clean and simple style and I know that you will too!

I absolutely love Heather's ability to mix patterns, paper piece and sew on cards.  She creates some seriously cute stuff.  Visiting her blog, http://parkermolly.blogspot.com/, to see her latest creations is always a treat.

"My name is  Heather Campbell.  I have been blessed in my life with a loving husband who I've been married to for just over 6 years now and two children, Parker & Molly.  I'm also a full-time Manufacturing Engineer for one the world's top aerospace manufacturing companies.  I absolutely love my job but needed a creative outlet and something for myself, aside from the cooking, cleaning, bathing children, etc...  Somewhere along the line, I stumbled into stamping.  It's been the perfect compliment to my life and I have absolutely loved the friendships gained."

Melania Deasy

Melania is an amazing paper crafter.  We have been lucky enough to have her as a guest designer before and she has won our challenge multiple times.  Her work is just gorgeous and I know that we are in for a treat having her join our already amazing team!
"Hi, I'm a happy mom that loves art very much. I love photography, design and making cards. "

I am such a fan of Caryn's work.  Her gorgeous cards are a delight and I love browsing her blog, http://glittermesilly.com/ for inspriration!

"I'm Caryn and besides being a lover of all things inky and stampy I am a mum to 5 gorgeous kids and also run the family property business!  Originally a "wee Scottish lassie", I now live on the Wirral (near Liverpool) where I love to spend as much time with my family and friends as I can.  Don't ask me to describe my card-making style - it changes with the weather!!!!"

Amy was an AEI♥U Challenge member and I just adore her work!  Her projects are so cute and fun! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us!

"Hello!  My name is Amy Kolling.  I live in Topeka, Kansas with my 2 ornery kids and sweet hubby.  Beside my crafty resume, I work full time as a Dialysis RN at one of the largest clinics within the company.  I started scrapbooking nearly 20 years ago with layouts using my wedding photos.  Once I found stamping (via a Stampin' Up friend), I became a die-hard cardmaker . . . there was just something about all the matchy ink and papers that had me hook, line, and sinker!  I would not be where I am today without the amazing stamping community of friends that have encouraged me from the very beginning.  I am a CAS, with a few layers, kind of stamper but like to try all sorts of techniques that may or may not take me out of my comfort zone."

We are so excited to have Ashley Marcu on the team.  Her creations are oh so cute, fun and fabulous!  It is going to be a treat to see what she comes up with each and every week.

"Hello! My name is Ashley Marcu and I live in the Seattle area with my husband and 3 energetic kids. I started this fun, addicting, joy filled hobby 9 years ago and haven't looked back! I have had the privilege of being published in magazines, working on awesome design teams and even started teaching last year at a local stamp store. I'm a Mom on the go and I love fitting in time to craft every day! I love color, layers and all things cute!"

I am a huge fan of Elena's beautiful work.  Be sure to check out her blog, http://justmeprints.blogspot.com/, for loads of inspiration!

Elena lives in Montreal, Canada, with her husband and 3 kids. She started crafting for something to do when her babes were napping, and now that they are a bit older, they enjoy stamping and coloring along with her.

Introducing Avery Elle Grosgrain Ribbon

We searched high and low to find our 5/8" grosgrain ribbon.  It is of the highest quality and coordinates with our premium heavy card stock line - both made in the USA.  We offer our ribbon as shown in the picture below...  Each is a cut of 5 yards and retails for $2.50.

Here are a few pictures of some of the collection.

Avery Elle Heavy Card Stock

June 13, 2012

Avery Elle is proud to introduce our Heavy Card Stock collection. Our colored card stock is 100 lbs, nice and thick and comes in so many beautiful colors.  It is also acid / chlorine free.  Our premium heavy card stock comes from a mill in the United States that is known to be the best in the letterpress and graphic design industry.  We offer coordinating 5/8" grosgrain ribbon for all of our colored card stock.  We currently have 9 colors in our line that you can check out below.

I have had a few customers ask me if I know of any coordinating inks.  I have listed the inks that I think compliment the card stock beautifully.  Please note that while some of these are exact matches, others are slightly lighter or darker.  I am a fan of pigment inks, so all of the inks I have listed are from what I have on hand.  As we get more customer input, I will create a file that I will attach on the side of this blog with the latest "matches".

Aquamarine Card Stock - VersaMagic: Turquoise Gem
Celery Card Stock - VersaMagic: Aloe Vera or Tea Leaves
Kraft Card Stock - VersaMagic: Wheat or Gingerbread
Lemon Grass - VersaMagic: Tea Leaves
Pixie - VersaMagic: Pixie Dust

Stay tuned tomorrow for more pictures of our Framed Fonts stamp set as well as our grosgrain ribbon!

Blossoms & Blooms

Blossoms & Blooms is another new 4" x 6" clear photopolymer stamp set in our store this month.  When I set out to illustrate this set, I wasn't even thinking about florals.  Sometimes you just have to go with what pours out onto the page.
This cute stamp set gives owners the option to mix and match the stems, blooms and leaves.  Also included is a border stamp that can be used as a bold lace print or decorative embellishment.  Blossom & Blooms retails for $15.  Measurements: Largest Bloom - 2" x 1"; Smallest Bloom - 1" x 3/8"; Border - 1/2" x 5 1/2"; Sentiment - 1" x 1/2"
