It's Yainea here today sharing a card featuring Camping Critters. I'm so excited because I love creating camping themed cards, they're definitely one of my faves and one of the reasons is because of starry skies <3 And what about the critters in the set? Absolutely adorable! Also I'm so happy that this set includes a tent... Can you tell this is my fav set from the release? ;)

I created my background using watercolors and then die cut some stars using the Constalletion Scene dies. All the critters were colored with alcohol markers and adhered to the bactgroung using foam adhesive with different thickness.

Camping Critters Week - Day 1

Hello Avery Elle friends,

Katie here with a video to share with you featuring the adorable Camping Critters clear stamps on a Slimline card. Slimline cards are very popular right now. Trying something a little different using supplies that you already have adds just a little extra jolt of joy into the creative process.

Slimline cards also give you all that glorious space to fill. The Camping Critters needed a background befitting of the great outdoors.

There are lots of different size variations on Slimline cards, but my favorite is 3 5/8 x 8 1/2. Using those dimensions, I can trim a sheet of watercolor card stock into equal thirds with only a tiny strip of leftover scrap paper. 

Slimline panels will fit into the regular-size MISTI and the finished cards pair with #10 business sized envelopes. Take a peek at my video to see how it all came together.

Stay Cool Week - Day 5

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing the super fun Stay Cool stamp set! I'm also going to share a few ways how I like adding detail to my cards. Let's take a look...

To create my card I stamped three animals from the set, die cut them and colored them. There are so many fun details you can add to these stamps. Let me share a few things I did. First, I added small dots in the shadows of the animals. This adds fun texture and interest..  

Next, I made a fun tie die design on the bear's shirt. I have so many fun ideas for this shirt...stripes, dots, stars, more tie die styles and maybe even copying a shirt I own. Add YOUR style on his shirt. Finally, I added a thin layer of glossy accents on their glasses and I love results.

After I made the three fun animals I created the background. I cut card stock, splattered them with ink (another fun detail I've been loving lately) and layered them on the card base. I finished the card with a sentiment bubble, a sentiment and a few stars.

Stay Cool Week - Day 4

Hi there! Elena here, with one very coooool card:

These critters crack me up! Aren't they hilarious? They are from the new Stay Cool stamp set. I stamped, die-cut and colored the bear, the bunny, the speech bubble and a slew of stars. Then, I grabbed a sheet of patterned paper from The Spring Collection paper pack and die-cut into it using the Ray backdrop die. It has that gradient effect that makes it so cool!

I arranged the elements on top of the sunset paper, and mounted all of that with foam squares onto a card-sized white layer.

To finish off, I added a few accents with a white gel pen. It came together so quickly and easily but it packs a cool punch because of all of the happy color!

Stay Cool Week - Day 3

Hello!  

Amy here sharing a card that could be sent to anyone "just because".   The new sets from the release last week are so playful and fun!  Stay Cool is one of those sets!

I began with ink blending an entire panel using Peacock Feathers, Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, and Black Soot.  By adding in the shades of dark (Black Soot at the top and Forest Moss at the bottom), the colors are toned down for a masculine look.  Once done, I trimmed the panel in half and ink blended the edges for a finished look.  The panel was spritzed with water and Avery Elle Shimmer Spray.

The stars and cool dude on skates was colored with Copics, die cut, and added with foam adhesive.  A sentiment strip was added for my dude to "skate" on.  A little "whoosh" was stamped and die cut as a finishing detail.

Stay Cool Week - Day 2

Hey there! Caryn here with some inspiration using some of the brand new products from the amazing Summer release.

My first card features the fabulous new Stay Cool stamp set along with my all time favourite die - the Waves background die. Not only does it create the most amazing die-cut, but it makes the BEST DIY stencil too! A wee tip when using this die as a stencil is to use a temporary adhesive spray as the "strands" are less likely to move around when you're blending over it.

I blended some funky Summer colours over my stencil to create the backdrop for that seriously cool bear! I then stamped, coloured and die cut the bear and sentiment bubble and popped him on the card using an action wobble gizmo.

I finished off by stamping some stars in black and added some glossy accents to his shades!

The next card I'm sharing with you today features the new Camping Critters stamp set.  You can create adorable scenes using this cute set - that wee mouse is just so sweet!

I blended my night sky and added some splatters of white acrylic paint to add a starry effect.

Next I used the Custom Panels die set to create masks so I could add some hills.

With my background done  I stamped, coloured and die cut my elements and popped them onto the card to create a cute little camping scene.

Stay Cool Week - Day 1 & Winners

Hello Avery Elle friends,

Katie here with a card to share today featuring a couple of cool characters from the Stay Cool Clear Stamps set. This set is fantastic for all the cool cats, bunnies, dogs and bears in your life and the sentiments are perfect for so many occasions.

I stamped the bear and dog images onto white card stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I die cut the images along with the "Stay Cool" speech bubble. I needed a cool background befitting of these characters, so I layered a piece of ombre paper from The Spring Collection Paper Pad behind a die-cut background created with the Waves Elle-ments die.

I adhered the images to the background. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a tag created with the Party Tags Elle-ments. I added some of the stars from the set as a finishing touch before adhering the completed panel to an A2 notecard.
