I started my card my stamping, die cutting and coloring the sea monster from the Legendary stamp set. I also used the cake from the same set. Next, I worked on the background. I die cut the waves from Summer Scene, the sun from Dotted Frame and pieced it all together behind the Plus Frame die. 

Then I embossed the sentiment from Legendary and Swell stamps and my card was complete!

Legendary Week - Day 3

Hi friends,

Katie popping in today to share a card featuring the Legendary clear stamp set. It's well established that the Kraken loves to party and a birthday card featuring festive wishes from a Kraken would be, well, Legendary. This set is also perfect for making clever cards for the dudes in your world. Be they little squids or bigger than pirate ships. This card will be winging its way to my brother in a couple weeks in honor of his birthday. 

 I stamped the Kraken, ship and cake onto a panel of white card stock and colored the images with Copic markers. After the Kraken was colored, I used a white gel pen to color the suction pods white. This is much easier than trying to keep these spots color-free when coloring and blending with markers.

I adhered the Legendary images to a panel of watercolor card stock that I had stamped with the background image from the Swell stamp set using Versafine Black Onyx ink and heat embossed with Avery Elle's clear embossing powder. I used Distress Oxide ink in, what else, Salty Ocean to add some color to the water focusing on the outer edge of the card. I stamped the sentiment and adhered the completed panel to an A2 notecard.

Legendary Week - Day 2

Hey there!  It's Caryn here today with a card using the fun Legendary stamp set and co-ordinating dies from the brand new Summer release. I am always wracking my brains for ideas for cards for the boys and thought a Kraken-themed set would be ideal!

I started with a pool-coloured card base and then die cut a front panel using the Grand Photo Mat Elle-ments in white and aqua.  I popped the frame part onto the card front using foam tape then sank the inner panel into the card and adhered it with the new Liquid Glue (I love this as it gives you a little "wiggle time" before it sets firmly into place)  I added a little blue ink around the edges of the clouds then popped them into place with foam tape for a little dimension.  

Next I stamped and die cut the Kraken, cake and pirate ship images from the set and coloured them with Copics.    I used the two wave sections that I had cut in aqua card from the Grand Photo Mat die and adhered everything to make it look like the beast from the deep was coming up out of the ocean grabbing the cake and ship and dragging them back down to the murky depths!!!  I think this would make a great slider card - must work on that idea!!

To finish I stamped the sentiment onto the banner die that also comes in the Grand Photo Mat die set and added some green glitter glue to the tentacles.
