Hi there! Caryn here today sharing a card using the cute-as-can-be Forest Dance Party stamp set from the brand new Winter release! Elena always smashes it out of the park with her critter designs and I just love how they all co-ordinate and compliment each other as you can see in this card!
To create a scene for my musical critters I pulled out a previously released Woodland Scene Builder stamp set and co-ordinating dies. I stamped and coloured the scene stamp using black dye ink and Copic markers. Next I stamped, coloured and die cut the rabbit and bear from the Forest Dance Party set along with the little bird playing his trusty tiangle!
I wanted the card to have a more natural, earthy feel so to give the feeling of warmth I used a blending brush and some mid-brown coloured ink and went around all the images. It adds an almost antiquey or aged feel and takes away the stark white outline from around the die cuts.
I cut a couple of strips using the "slope" die from the Slimline Borders die collection and blended the same brown ink along the edges before adhering all my elements to the card using liquid adhesive and foam tape.
I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment and some musical notes in brown ink.

Love, love, love this!! So glad I ordered this set and the matching dies!! A funny: The very first thought I had when I read the sentiment? I thought of the Bangles song "Manic Monday"... 'c'mon honey, let's go make some noise...' Too funny! I love that song, too.
Thx for the blast from the past and the cute card!
