Underwater Background Builder Week - Day 5

April 30, 2021

Hi Everyone! Today I'm sharing Underground Background Builder. Let's check it out...

This is such a fun builder set and matches perfectly with Underwater Friends. I stamped the reef walls and added a few plants and fish from both sets. Fish were stamped the the background and the card was finished with a sentiment. It was fun playing with the depth, having fish swim amongst all of the scenery.

Thanks for stopping by!

Underwater Background Builder Week - Day 4

April 29, 2021

Hello everyone! Today I've got a fun card using the new Underwater Background Builder stamp set

I had so much fun pairing this stamp and die set with the Underwater Friends stamp and die set. They're definitely so fun to play with together.
For my card, I ink blended a background and then I stamped, die cut and colored in all of the images. I had so much fun putting party hats on them for a birthday card.

That's all for me today. Have a great day!

Underwater Background Builder Week - Day 1

April 26, 2021

Hi there!

Elena here, with a closer look at Underwater Background Builder, a scene-building stamp set from our current release.

I couldn't help but bring in friends from the other ocean set, Underwater Friends. They work so well together! I colored the mermaid and her fish friend in honor of Ariel and Flounder! I think they are adorable. I really wanted them to stand out, so I colored the cliffs in more muted colors. Underwater Background Builder comes with matching dies, but I opted not to use them on this card. I stamped the cliffs and filled in the space in between with extra rocks and sand. I just love the effect! It's like something out of a story book.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Elephantastic Week - Day 4

April 22, 2021

Hello everyone! Heather here with a fun card using the super cute Elephantastic stamp set. I had so much fun with this set.

To create my card I first ink blended a layer to use as the background for my card. I often struggle getting the perfect square and never feel like it looks quite right if I just trim it - so I used a trick I often love to use - and that's using the "throw away" portion of a die!
Here you can see the die I used. It's got the perfect inset square!

And here my layer is when it's all cut out! :)

Then I simply stamped, colored in and die cut my images and then put them all together with dimensional foam adhesive.

I even did the same thing to get the perfect banner ends! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! Have a great one!

Elephantastic Week - Day 3

Hello!  Amy here sharing a darling image from Elephantastic for a card that would be appropriate for anyone!

I don't know about you but I jump at any chance to add a rainbow of color to my card.  The balloons from this set were perfect!  The images were Copic colored, die cut, and set aside so I could work on the background.

Want to create a clean and simple card but add a little something?  Try masking off some stripes and ink blending some light colors of ink!  Here I added some blue stripes (for the sky) and green stripes (for the grass).  For a extra detail, a 1/8" strip of black cardstock was added below my foam mounted images to "ground" them.  I love that the pop of black ties in with the black stamped sentiment.

Elephantastic Week - Day 1

Hi there!

I'm here today with a card showcasing the new Avery Elle Elephantastic stamp set and coordinating dies. These images are too cute! They sure put a smile on anyone's face :) So I decided to make a cheer up card.

The critters are colored with alcohol markers and I built up the scene using several lavers: patterned paper, watercolor paper with some random strokes and finally, a frame with the sentiment. I added some pink twine as a final detail and it's done!

I hope you like my card and feel inspired to create! Thank you so much for stopping by, happy start of the week!

Peek-A-Boo Flight Week - Day 3

April 14, 2021

Hi there!

Elena here, with a card featuring Peek-A-Boo Flight, from our current release.

I just love this Peek-A-Boo set! I opted for the helicopter image, and put the elephant from Peek-A-Boo Pals inside, mostly because I love how oversized he is, with his huge ears flopping out.

I colored the helicopter in a bright, sunny yellow, added a red garland, and set it all against a rainbow backdrop. I used the Rainbows die, and added the sentiment to the cloud at the bottom. Isn't it so sweet? To finish things off, I ink-blended the edges with a light blue ink.

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Peek-A-Boo Flight Week - Day 1

April 12, 2021

Hello, it's Caryn here today sharing a fun card featuring the cute-as-all-get-out Peek-a-Boo Flight stamps and dies.  I adore the Peek-a-Boo line of stamps - they are so creative and unique - love all the new ideas Heather keeps coming up with!

I created a textured card base for my design by using the Cloud Mat die to create a stencil.  I just cut it from card stock - a great way to get even more bang for your buck when it comes to your supplies!
I took some embossing paste and tinted it with an ink refill to create a blue paste then slathered it over the stencil. onto a panel I sprinkled some fine clear glitter over it whilst it was still wet - glitter never shows up well in photos but I promise you, it's super-sparkly!
I also die cut some clouds from vellum to add even more dimension!

Whilst the card panel was drying I stamped and coloured the aeroplane from the Peek-a-Boo flight set and chose the elephant from the Sending Hugs stamp set.  For the sentiment I pulled out one of the older (and incredibly useful) sets, the Speech Bubbles stamps and dies.

Because I had a wee bit of the paste left I thought I'd create another card to use it up!  I used the same stencil and made a small panel which fitted nicely onto a 4-bar card.  I thought it would be a great back drop for the Some Bunny Loves You stamp set.

I have a reel on my instagram page (@glittermesilly) showing a quick demo of how I created the stencil and cards if you'd like to see it in action!!!

Everyday Circle Tags Week - Day 4

April 8, 2021

Who doesn't love a great, versatile tag set? These Everyday Circle Tags from Avery Elle are awesome.

I absolutely love the font and how you can take these in so many directions!

To create my tags, I first watercolored some patterned paper. Then, I simply added the sentiments, tag outline and the accents. Die cut the tag elements and ta-da!!! I low how these have a tie-dye look to them.

Thanks for stopping by!

Everyday Circle Tag Week - Day 3

April 7, 2021

Hello!

Amy here to share a card using the Everyday Circle Tags stamps.  I will be reaching for this set over and over especially with it's handwritten script!  I love the sentiments paired with the Arial font!!!

Oh baby

I paired the oh BABY sentiment from the Everyday Circle Tags with the adorable Peek-a-Boo Birthday Tag Toppers Elle-ments.  The animals were die cut and paper pieced together.

To make the animals the focal points of the card, three circles from Holiday Circle Tags Elle-ments were die cut from white cardstock and ink blended with grey ink.  The sentiment was stamped on one and trimmed down.  These circles were adhered to a background made with pattern paper from The Spring Collection 6x6 Paper Pad and a white frame created with the Double Pierced Rectangle Elle-ments.  To finish the card, the animals were added with foam adhesive, a few accents were stamped, and some white gems added.

Everyday Circle Tags Week - Day 2

April 6, 2021

Hey there!  Caryn here today with a card and gift tag set I created using the Everyday Circle Tags stamps and dies  (Holiday Circle Tags) paired with the A Cake for All Seasons set.

I created the card by firstly blending some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink onto the card base and splattered some Distress Spray over the top along with some stamped hearts from the Everyday Circle tags stamp set.  I put this aside to dry then worked on my cake focal point.

I stamped the cake with the frosting dripping down over top along with the various other "treats" I wanted to decorate my cake with. I then coloured them using Zig Clear Colour Brush markers for a water-coloured effect.  I die cut a circle from white card using the Holiday Circle Tags die and the scalloped mat from vellum.  I adhered them to the front of the card and added some shimmer with a Wink of Stella brush marker.

I finished by stamping the Happy Birthday sentiment onto the card front.

To go along with my card I thought I'd actually create a tag with the tag set!!  I filled a clear gift box with some Percy Pig sweets (if you're in the UK you'll know what I'm talking about - YUMMM!) I cut a tag and stamped the same Happy Birthday sentiment I used on the card onto the tage and finished it off with a satin ribbon!

Everyday Circle Tag Week - Day 1

April 5, 2021

Hello friends,

Katie here with a card to share featuring the Everyday Circle Tag stamp set. This set makes fantastic tags and coordinates perfectly with the Holiday Circle Tag Dies. With its stylish font and design, this has quickly become my go-to sentiment set!

I pulled out the Rainbow Elle-ments Die and made a shaped card with a touch of glitter card stock and lots of bright and beautiful colors. I added the smiling sun from the Sunshine stamp set peeking over the rainbow.

In the clouds, I stamped the "Get Well Soon" sentiment. A bright and cheery rainbow will hopefully brighten the recipient's day!

On the back of. the card, I added` the "Handmade with Love" sentiment and the hand drawn heart. The Everyday Circle Tags ``set truly has it all!

Superheroes Week - Day 5

April 2, 2021

Hi Everyone! What a super week to share Superheros!

I stamped, die cut and colored several images in Superheroes and put together this fun scene on colored cardstock. I love these animals flying through the sky! So fun!

I die cut the word bubble and heat embossed the sentiment so each hero was saying something. I cut the bubbles again to add shadows and more color to the card. I finished the card with a few die cut stars.

Superheroes Week - Day 4

April 1, 2021

Hi there!

Elena here, with a card featuring Superheroes:

I stamped the cityscape and superheroes, and colored everything using copic markers. I saturated the sky background so that the images would really pop, and added fun elements like the help speech bubble and all of the stars.

That quirky koala is my fave. I hope you like it!
