Hello! Amy here today with a CAS winter card. Often creating a "scene" card seems overwhelming, right? I wanted to share how I brought the "clean" and "simple" to this card.
To create the "clean" part of the card is simply the background........keep the white space! I did this but added color with a simple die, Snow Scene Elle-ments. Several colors of blue Distress Oxide inks were blended onto a panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and then die cut. Once cut, the panel was spritzed with Clear Shimmer Spray and Crystal Stickles were added to the snow that stayed in place during die cutting.
For the "simple", I knew I wanted to use this ONE image from Polar Playtime......the critters sledding. I thought about what these critters would be doing and voila a simple panel cut at an angle becomes the slope. Add a bit of fine glitter to the edge with a Zig 2-way glue pen......perfect snow.
The angled panel was added with foam adhesive over the Snow Scene background. To finish, the sledding critters (colored with Copic markers) were added with foam adhesive and the sentiment was stamped out behind as if skidding down the hill. Once done, a few white pigment ink details were added to the critters.
