Day 3 - Introducing Knotty

Wow!  I do believe that we have THE BEST customers around.  Thank you for being so kind this week.  Welcome to day three of Avery Elle’s December/January Release week.  Over the next 3 days we will be featuring projects made by our AMAZING design team and two fabulous guest designers.  We have 4 new stamp sets that will be available for purchase in our store, www.averyelle.com, on December 5th.  Don’t forget to check the bottom of this post for our latest giveaway to celebrate the festivities.  If you have just stumbled upon us, you may want to start back at the beginning of our release week here.  Let’s get started.

I am so thrilled to introduce you to our new 4x6” clear photopolymer stamp set called Knotty that will retail for $15.  Our Knotty 4" x 6" clear photopolymer stamp set is a cute and fun nautical stamp set.  The fresh sentiments and classic images in this set are sure to be used time and again.  The striped border strip measures: 5/8" x 5 5/8"; Compass diameter measures: 1 5/8"; Anchor measures: 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"; Boat measures: 1 1/2" x 1 3/4"; Knot measures: 1 1/4" x 1/2"; Ahoy sentiment measures: 5/8" x 3/8"; You Are My True North sentiment measures: 2 1/8" x 1/4"  **This set has FREE matching cut files**

Kasia used the border strip to create her striped background and I love how it plays off of the plaid in the heart image from our newest Lots of Love set.  For more details on this “cool” card check out her blog here.

Chunyuan used the border strip to create a nautical background.  I love that I have the ability to create “patterned paper” just like this in a rainbow of colors.    The “Let’s Get Knotty” sentiment is a bit cheeky, but I think it is fun.  For more detail and another project, check out Chunyuan’s blog here.

JJ created this cute porthole and anchor card.  I love the color balance and how the white “pops” in this card.  For more details visit JJ’s blog here.

I don’t usually make mini cards, but I enjoyed creating this one.  It is clean and simple and came together quickly.  I thought that this would be cute for my kids to give to their teachers at the end of the school year along with a small token of their appreciation.

Here is another card that I whipped up using the same color scheme.  I will tell you that it took me WAY too long (and a few wrecked card bases) to position the twine rope coming down this simple card.  In the end, I am happy with how it turned out.

We are lucky to have our guest designer, Julie, back with us today.  I think Julie’s use of a metallic brad at the top of the anchor is brilliant.  I am definitely going to have to try that myself.  Be sure to click here to see details on her blog.

I hope that you have enjoyed the projects that you have seen today.  In honor of our Release Week, we will be giving away a $25 gift certificate to our store.  To be entered to win let us know your thoughts about our Knotty stamp set on this post.
