Avery Elle October Release - To The Point

Welcome back to Day 2 of Avery Elle's October Release Week.  If you have just stumbled upon this blog, you may want to go to this post here to start at the beginning of the festivities.  Over the next 2 days we will be featuring projects made by our AMAZING design team and showcasing our latest release.  We have 2 new stamp sets and 3 new colors of heavy card stock and grosgrain ribbon that will be available for purchase in our store, www.averyelle.com, on October 4th.  Don't forget to check the bottom of this post for our latest giveaway to celebrate the festivities.

Today we are featuring a new 4" x 6" clear photopolymer stamp set called To The Point that will retail for $15.  I absolutely love the versatility of this set.  The border strip measures:  5/8" x 5 1/2"; The large banners measure:  1 3/8" x 1 3/4"; The chevron banner measures: 2 3/8" x 7/8"; The Just A Note sentiment measures:7/8" x 1/2"

In this first card, I used a Celery card stock base, coordinating Celery grosgrain ribbon and October Afternoon patterned paper.  I stamped the banner image onto Ultra Smooth Pure White card stock along with the Just a Note sentiment. All of the sentiments in the set will fit into any of the banner images....Love that!

This next card was created using our Celery and Ultra Smooth Pure White heavy card stock.  I stamped the border strip to create a star-like image and filled the pattern in using the small arrow blocks included in this set.  I really do love the graphic look I was able to achieve.  After adding the Make a Wish sentiment, I decide to bling the card up a bit using scor-tape and Martha Stewart glitter.   I see bold snowflakes using this same layout in my future.

This next card features the chevron banner included in the set.  I mimicked the banner shape using Echo Park patterned papers to balance the card.  This is my version of the neon trend that is so popular right now.  I have to admit that I have never been into neon - not even the first time it was popular.  I realize that these colors aren't exactly neon, but I think that they reflect the 80s.  All in all, this was a different look for me and it was good for me to get out of my comfort zone.

In this project, I stamped the border strip and arrow blocks on our Ultra Smooth Pure White card stock to create a pattern using two different oranges, two different yellows and a pink.  I love the results and how it looks against the Fizz card stock base.

I used the same stamped pattern from above and cut the strips vertically in half.  I then lined them up to form a smaller pattern on the card below.  I have to admit that I absolutely love our new grey card stock, Fog, being released this month.  I had a hard time not using it on EVERY project!!
